First, a little about us… All Critters is a small pet sitting and dog walking company that was started in 2017 here in Raleigh. We’ve grown quite quickly over the past few years, except for a pretty significant slowdown in early 2020 because of Covid. As soon as things stated to get a little more back to normal business picked back up and it’s been busier and busier ever since. We’re now in the process of trying to find 1 full-time person and 2-3 more part-time people that can help us out during the week as we approach the holidays.
What we’re mainly looking for is someone that can help us out from about 9am to 3pm, Monday-Friday and occasionally at night and on weekends (if you come on as full-time, your schedule will vary alot from day to day & week to week). You won’t be working this much every day or even every day but generally this is our busy hours and when we’ll need a few extra hands. If you come on a part-time, there’s also the opportunity to pick up more walks in the evenings and weekends as well as pet sitting visits or overnights if you want.
***June 2023*** currently, we’re mostly looking for people that can work nights, weekends, holidays & occasionally overnights. If you’re flexible and can help some during the day on occasion, that’s a huge plus.
During the day you’ll basically be going from house to house walking dogs (or, occasionally just letting them into the backyard). It’s easy and fun work as long as you don’t mind being on the go. Most visits, including our two most popular ones – a 30 minute walk & an all-inclusive visit (feeding plus a walk, etc) pay $18. We also do the occasional 45 minute visit ($21) or hour visit ($25) but probably 90% of the visits weekdays are 30 minute walks. In addition, many of our clients are very generous and tip. This can be an additional $2-$5 per visit (sometimes more, especially during the holidays) but isn’t guaranteed. Also, on major holidays you get an extra $4 per visit. On average, most walkers get an additional 10-20% in tips each time they get paid.
During the weekdays we mostly look after dogs but evenings and weekends you’ll be looking after everything from dogs and cats to birds, fish, rabbits and the occasional bearded dragon.
